Mindfulness meditation is a way of learning how to breathe, feel better, reduce your stress and enjoy your life a whole lot more.

The first stage is to learn how to sit and breathe deep into your body.  Most people only use the top half of their chest.  That can be quite the exercise in of itself.  While you work through that, you will be shown how to calm your mind.  Letting go of any issues that came with you.  How to be kind and gentle to yourself.  When that part is practised well, mindfulness can go on to help you discover more about yourself.  I will show you how to use this in your everyday life, including those difficult times at work.  Be the calm amongst the chaos.

This programme is about learning how to build Rapport, Interpersonal Skills and LIfe Control Skills.  How you can improve your communication with anyone you choose to engage with.

You will learn:

  • How to get rapport quickly, and notice when you need to break it!
  • How to read the people in your life in order to get the best communication by understanding them, by learning about yourself.
  • What your own learning style is.
  • How to read and notice body language, including micro expressions.

Whether you are trying to communicate with work colleagues, clients or new friends, then this programme will help boost your confidence.  Learn how to read your children, especially teenagers more clearly!

Control your mind, let go of your weight.

This programme is for you if you have had enough of yoyo dieting, following set programmes only to have the weight return when you have finished.

If you want change, you have to step up and make it happen.  On this programme I will teach you proven techniques and tools to help you keep in control of YOU.  We will look at how you make decisions, how to create a supportive environment, along with dispelling any limiting beliefs.  You can be the healthy weight you want to be as long as you are ready to take action.

Of course, with our Anti Gravity Treadmill, you can actually FEEL what it will be like for you, once you have lost your weight.  Aches and pains disappear as you become fitter and stronger.

Helping HR departments deal with difficult situations relating to Anger Management, Stressed or uncooperative workers.

With this service, I act as a mediator between the company and their member of staff.  Both parties have the freedom to express their concerns and going forward I work towards a win win situation enabling a smoother transition out of what could potentially be a difficult situation for both.

Under the Welfare Act of 2004 which the Isle of Man adopted, companies are responsible to ensure that their staff are not stressed out.  Investors in People have made great leaps forward assisting companies to address this potential problem, with the Gold Award being issued to quite a few businesses.  It is the staff's own recommendations that make this happen for the company.  And for the company, something that displays that they do care about your wellbeing.

We are all very much aware of the amount of money lost through stressed out staff and the extra strain that can put on the remaining team.  I am here to help stop this potential situation escalating with early intervention.

For Teenagers and those in their Twenties.

Finding out who YOU are and what YOU want.

Teenagers can challenge all of us, but can you remember what that period of you life was like for you?  There is so much going on for the teenager, their brains are not quite developed into the adult phase, yet adults insist on treating them as such.  The responsibilities placed upon them, exams etc and that's not including the hormones!

All of this can be so very confusing for the teenager, and parents, perhaps forgetting what it was like, finding it difficult to communicate with their child.

I love working with teenagers on this journey of self discovery and understanding.  I work with them to help find a structure that works for them and their parents, while addressing their wants and needs.

Equally, I help give parents that space to look at how their are parenting and help them construct a new pathway that works for them.

Parenting is not an easy job, especially when you care so very much.  Parenting does not come with a manual. Time/work pressures that parents are under in our modern world can make this seem one of the hardest jobs that they do.

I have been so privileged to see both teens and families come together and move on.

The psychology of improving performance

Deciding to take on a physical challenge is one aspect of your performance, your mind and the power of your thoughts is another.  The psychology of any sports performance is now taken extremely seriously and should be apart of any good coaching programme. Winning over your "mind" is one of the most powerful tools you will learn to help you succeed at your sport.  Whether this is a personal challenge or you are a professional who perhaps feels that you are not performing as well as you had hoped.

Your mind can make you quit or tell you, you can do this and bring great strength from within you to complete your challenge.  One negative, one positive.  Which one do you want more of to help you achieve?  With my various techniques we can quiet or get rid of the negative part and replace it with such a strong supportive part, that you will achieve what you set out to do.

You have a training plan?  You have a nutrition plan?  You have a coach?  Do you have a mind plan?

In 2014 I challenged myself to compete in an Ironman.  I had all of the above, but I know that my journey would not have been as successful without the mind skills I have.  I was going to be pulled from the race - twice for time cut offs becoming near. (marshal was very negative) Before my 'mind training' I know I would have given up.  But I knew how to motivate myself to keep going and eventually, cross that finish line.  For those of you who do not know what an Ironman is, you swim 2.4 miles, cycle 112 miles and then run a marathon.  My story is posted on another part of this site for those who wish to know more.

So what is your challenge?  What do you want to achieve, together we can make it happen.
